State BJP Enrolls 15 Lakh New Members: Ranjit Kumar Das

GUWAHATI: BJP Assam Pradesh president Ranjit Kumar Das has said that the party in the State has enrolled 15 lakh new members against the target of 11 lakh.

Talking to the media at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan in Guwahati on Sunday, Ranjit Kumar Das said: “The membership enrollment drive began on July 6 this year. People came out spontaneously to join the party. With a view to enroll 11 lakh new members all cadres of the party had been working in the State for the past one-and-a-half months. They were busy in making people know the ideology of the party, besides letting them know various schemes of the State and the Central governments. The response from the people of the State is overwhelming. The enrollment of 15 lakh new members against the target of 11 lakh makes it clear that the people of the State have full faith on the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the public welfare schemes taken up by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in the State. The 15 lakh new members comprise first-time voters, people from all walks of life and communities. I welcome all the new members in the party.”
