Steps taken to combat air pollution in Byrnihat on Assam-Meghalaya border

GUWAHATI: Byrnihat is an Industrial Cluster Area on the Assam-Meghalaya border on the edge of Guwahati. In view of the very critical condition of the air quality in the region, the Pollution Control Board (PCB) of Assam has decided to form a vigilance committee. This five-member vigilance committee will inspect the industries within a three-day duration which started on Monday.
