Supplementary Budget to be placed in Winter Session of Assam Legislative Assembly

GUWAHATI: The Supplementary Budget (Supplementary Demands) for the year 2020-21 will be placed in the Winter Session of the Assam Legislative Assembly (ALA). The Supplementary Budget is necessitated as the State government needs some additional expenditure for this fiscal.

The Governor has already summoned the Winter Session of the Assembly from December 28, 2020.

According to sources in the ALA, the Winter Session will be of three days and there will be oral questions for an hour in each of the three days.

On December 14, 2020 the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting of the Assembly will be held with Speaker Hitendra Nath Goswami in the Chair. The BAC will chalk out detailed programmes of the session.
