GUWAHATI: As part of the ongoing Swachhta Hi Seva campaign 2019 and contributing to ‘One City One Impact’ programme of Smart Cities Mission of the Government of India, Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) handed over 30 dustbins to Guwahati Smart City Limited (GSCL) to be strategically placed in various public places across Guwahati city. The dustbins were officially handed over by H.K.Sarmah, Company Secretary, NRL in the presence of Pranab Baruah, OSD, GSCL, Mr. Subrata Das, GM (Marketing) NRL, Madhuchanda Adhikari, DGM (Corporate Communication) NRL along with a host of officials from NRL and GSCL on Friday at Shradhanjali Kanan.
In addition, NRL has carried out various other activities in and around its Refinery as part of the Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign 2019. The campaign started off with an organization wide awareness programme on ‘Eliminating Single Use Plastic’. A Waste Handling & Plastic Processing Unit was installed at Ponka Village in Numaligarh, a press release stated.
