Swachta hi Seva Campaign Concludes at ITBP, Guwahati

GUWAHATI: 33rd Bn, ITBP organized “Swachta hi seva campaign” from September 11 to October 2, 2019. It is remarkable that Government of India through its “SWACHTA HI SEVA CAMPAIGN” commemorating 150th Birth Anniversary of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi. 33rd Bn, Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) keenly taken part in this significant and popular “Campaign” and conducted special Cleanliness Drive’s at various places in Guwahati which included special cleanliness drive at Games Village area, an “Awareness Rally” from Six Mile to Panjabari, a “Cleanliness drive” at general area of Jalukbari i.e. streets, Roads and Bus Stop, in which all these areas were cleaned properly and scattered garbage dumped in Dustbins to make these areas neat and clean and, “Run for SWACHTA” was organized at Sonapur to bring awareness among locals towards general cleanliness.

According to a press release, in the series of events, 33rd Bn, Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) concluded the campaign by conducting a Mega Cleanliness Drive at Games village Guwahati to commemorate 150th Birth Anniversary of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi. This “Mega Cleanliness Drive” was organised under the leadership of Sh. Anil Singh Rawat, Deputy Commandant/Officer Commanding, 33rd Bn, ITBP. Sh. Prashant Kumar Meena, Dy. Commandant, Sh. Neeraj Kumar Koli, Assistant Commandant (Adjutant), all Officers, Subordinate Officers, other ranks of 33rd Battalion, Officers and Officials of SSB, legend members of Game Village Society and children collectively participated in this drive.
