Tezpur University and IASST ink MoU for academic research

GUWAHATI: The Tezpur University (TU) and the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the collaboration on academic research.

The MoU was signed by Registrar of TU Dr. Biren Das, and Registrar of IASST Dr. Diganta Goswami in the presence of TU Vice Chancellor Professor Vinod Kumar Jain, Director of IASST Professor Ashis K Mukherjee on the university premises.

The agreement will expand learning opportunities for scientific staff, faculties and students from Tezpur University and IASST. The primary objectives of this agreement is to continue cooperative efforts between TU and IASST to enable the exchange of students and research scholars and exchange of academic and research information between the two institutions.

Moreover, through this agreement TU will recognize IASST scientists as Ph.D supervisors for different resource programmes conducted by the university in various subjects. The IASST scholars will get the opportunity to enroll themselves in various Ph.D programmes under TU with this agreement.
