Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor in Guwahati city

GUWAHATI: Presidential candidate for AICC (All India Congress Committee) Shashi Tharoor arrived in Guwahati today for the campaign. The election of the AICC president post will be on October 17. The counting of votes is on October 19. It is a straight fight between Tharoor and Mallikarjun Kharge. Kharge came to Assam for a campaign earlier.

Tharoor went to B Barooah College and interacted with the students there. He came to Rajiv Bhawan where party leaders and workers offered him a grand welcome with cultural programmes. Later, he interacted with many youths and senior leaders of the party.
