Three persons arrested with heroin by Gorchuk police

GUWAHATI: Gorchuk police, while in a search operation, arrested three persons with heroin in their possession. They have been identified as Firoz Ali, Amir Ali and Habibur Rahman all hailing from Barpeta road. The three accused were moving furtively with that illegal substance.

The police have recovered 129 gram of heroin from 10 soap boxes which cost about Rs 8 lac in the market.

According to police sources, the three were arrested at ISBT during the search. They had arrived at ISBT from Sichar, and had planned to move further to Barpeta underhandedly with this illegal stuff. Legal actions have been initiated against the miscreants.
