Traffic curbs in Guwahati city

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Traffic Police has barred plying of commercial goods-carrying vehicles in several areas under Guwahati city on May 9 and May 10 in view of the visit here of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

According to a press release issued by the DCP, Traffic, commercial goods-carrying vehicles of 4 wheels and above will not be allowed to ply on NH-27 and NH-17 falling under Guwahati city from 4 am to 9 pm on May 9 and from 4 am to 10 pm on May 10. The restriction will apply GNB Road, B. Baruah Road, and G.S Road too have been restricted.

Commercial goods-carrying vehicles (small/ medium/ heavy) will not be allowed to ply on DG Road, AT Road, MG Road, KLB Road, Taybulla Road, GNB Road, B Borooah Road and GS Road from 4 pm to 9 pm on May 9. Besides, no commercial goods-carrying vehicle (small/ medium/ heavy) will be allowed to ply on B Borooah Road, BK Kakoty Road and GNB Road from 8 am to 2 pm on May 10.
