Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary reviews works of IWT Directorate

GUWAHATI: Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary held a webinar to review the works of Inland Water Transport (IWT), Assam on Wednesday. While reviewing the various activities and programmes of IWT, Minster Patowary told that Inland Water Transport plays an important role in transporting passengers and goods in the State. He stressed on prioritizing passengers' safety at any cost and instructed all the employees of IWT to keep strict vigil on it. He further directed to extend the last date of registration and availing benefits under Jibondinga Scheme till August 31, stated a release.
