GUWAHATI: In a major breakthrough, two more accused persons were arrested by Assam Police in the Dhirenpara dacoity case of October 5, including the man who had allegedly opened fire during the incident where one person was shot at.

The two suspects, identified as Amarjyoti Sarania and Jomin Boro, were caught at Koklabari in Baksa. Both were former cadres of the NDFB, mentioned DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police), West, Nabaneet Mahanta. He also informed that the person had proceeded to the house of Gautam Paul on October 5. It was a pre-panned affair; and the act is related to the gold business of Paul. Investigation is on, he said, adding that six persons have been arrested i this regard.
