Victor Das case: Assam Police seeks detailed report from Guwahati Police

GUWAHATI: Assam Police has sought a detailed report on the Victor Das case from Guwahati Police.

Addressing media persons in Guwahati today, Assam Director General of Police Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta said, "We have sought a detailed report on the Victor Das case from Guwahati Police. The Guwahati Police will be submitting the report within 2-3 days."

Gauhati High Court granted bail to Victor Das on Saturday. The police had arrested Victor Das on September 9 after he had alleged anomalies in the Grade III and Grade IV recruitment examinations. They arrested Das on the charge of spreading rumours about the recruitment process to fill up over 26,000 vacant posts in different departments. The High Court granted bail to Das on medical grounds. He has been suffering from fever and severe headache since Thursday night.
