Women Engineers Forum of Assam celebrates International Women’s Day

GUWAHATI: Women Engineers Forum of Assam celebrated the International Women’s Day on the premises of Institution of Engineers Panbazar, Guwahati on Sunday. The forum felicitated three eminent women activists to mark the occasion. The activists are, Dr. Anjana Goswami from Ashadeep, a mental health care society, Suniti Sunuwal, an advocate and social activist and Anuradha Dutta, an academician and retired Professor of Guwahati University. The forum has also felicitated three senior members namely - Rita Rajkhowa, first female Electrical Engineer of Assam and Bondita Phukan first female Mechanical Engineer of NE. The program started with a lighting of lamp ceremony by the invited guests and forum’s president Dr. Bibha Das Saikia.
