GUWAHATI: The Assam Medical Tourism Council Trust on Thursday conferred Lifetime Achievement awards upon five senior doctors of the State to mark the occasion of World Health Day. The awards were conferred at a function held in the city.

The awardees include Dr Ilias Ali, Dr Kanak Chandra Baruah, Dr Bolin Kumar Gogoi, Dr Narendra Nath Dutta and Dr Numal Chandra Bora, whose award was received by his representative. Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Matron Chandita Baruah was also conferred with a Lifetime Achievement award for her selfless contribution during the COVID-19 pandemic. The special invitees at the event included, among others, Brig Narain Dutt Joshi, Director of Sainik Welfare, Prasanta Rajguru, Editor-in-Chief of DY365. The welcome address was delivered by Rajib Hazarika, president of the Assam Medical Tourism Council Trust.
