Dispur to preserve Sarat Chandra Sinha’s samadhi

GUWAHATI, Dec 17: Remembering former Chief Minister Sarat Chandra Sinha's immense contribution to socio-political aspect of the state, Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal today said that the government will take all necessary steps to preserve the Samadhi Khetra of the stalwart in a befitting manner. Opening the Sarat Chandra Singha Memorial Cultural Complex built by Cultural Affairs Department of the state today at Chapar, Dhubri Sonowal said that the complex would serve to inspire the young generation with the ideals of the former Chief Minister.  

Saying that Late Sinha was a man of principle who lived his life with simplicity without taking advantage of power for his persol gains, Sonowal said that the former Chief Minister dedicated his life to uplift underprivileged sections of the society and left a very high standard for all politicians to follow.  

Reiterating the government's commitment to protect the rights of all sections of the society Sonowal said that the government is taking all steps to assess the tural resources of the state so that they can be best utilized for the development of the state.
