GUWAHATI, Jan 6: Bharalumukh police caught a bike lifter, Raju Daimary who shot at the police at Shantipur in the city on Saturday. A 7.62 mm pistol along with a bike was recovered from him. Daimary, a former NDFB(S) rebel, hails from Baksa. The bike (AS01DK8363) recovered from him was stolen from Zoo Road earlier in the day on Saturday. The bike, worth around Rs 2 lakh, has GPS fitted with it. He shot at the police on his trail.
