GUWAHATI, Aug 21: The Assam State Agriculture Marketing Board (ASAMB) has set up four farmers’ mobile shops so as to cushion the blow following the steep hike in vegetable prices in the State. Two of the four shops were launched on Monday – one each at Beltola and Dispur Super Market. The other two – one each at Chandmari and Maligaon – will be launched tomorrow. ASAMB chairman Palit Kumar Bora, vice chairman Manoj Baruah, CEO Devanda Das and other officials of the board were present at the programme. Artist Nilpawan Baruah was the first consumer to have bought vegetable from the shop on Monday.
