GUWAHATI: In a major goof-up from the side of the five-star hotel which is accommodating the cricket teams in Guwahati, the authorities sent the check-in email to a different person, in place of a popular player from the Indian Men’s Cricket Team. This issue came to light only after the person, who shares the same name, shared the details over the social media site X.

Hardik Pandya is one of the popular faces of the Indian Cricket team and the problem regarding the check-in took place with him. In place of the cricketer, an official from an edutech with the same name received the check-in email. He is the Senior Vice President of Design at Unacademy and he took to the social media site to share this incident mentioning that he had no plans to visit Guwahati on that date. He also tagged the cricketer in his post.

The Indian team is in the city of Guwahati for the warm-up match with England. This one-day international day-and-night match is scheduled to be played in the Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Barsapara of Guwahati.

Previously English cricketer Jonny Bairstow took to a social media site to share the horrible experience of the team while traveling to the country for the upcoming tournament. They will be facing the hosts in a warmup match on Saturday in Guwahati. Jonny Bairstow took to the popular social media site Instagram to share their experiences as they took over 38 hours of fight to reach their destination. He shared a story regarding the same on Instagram. He shared a photo where the cricketers were on the plane along with the general public. The 34-year-old player looked very tired in the photo that he shared.

He also added the comments ‘utter chaos’ and ‘ last leg incoming .. been some trip’ along with the local time of the image. It is not known where the image was taken but the team was definitely on their way to reach Guwahati when the image was taken. Also, the image showed that it was taken on the economy-class of a domestic flight in India.
