The American Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) informed that people should be vigilant about grey, pale and blue-coloured skin, lips and nail beds depending on skin tones is the symptoms of oxygen level in blood getting low.

Nothing much is known about the new covid variant but according to experts, its symptoms are different from COVID-19 as it is reported that people affected with Omicron have not experienced the loss of smell and taste. A wide range of symptoms has been reported in the case of the fresh super mutant strain of COVID.

The symptoms of Omicron in the lips, skin and nails in lesser-known by people and discovering any such symptoms a person must seek for urgent medical treatment.

Other symptoms of the highly transmissible variant Omicron include difficulty while breathing, scratchy throat, confusion, tiredness, continuous pain in the chest, losing the strength and ability to stay awake.

According to Angelique Coetzee, the Chairman of the South African Medical Association young people may show the symptoms of extreme tiredness though it will show in all age groups.

As per experts and cases recorded till now, it is expected that the symptoms associated with the new Variant Omicron will have a similar appearance to Delta.

After Manipur and Meghalaya, Assam on January 5 became the third state in the northeastern region to report an omicron case. The first case was reported in the state's Sonapur, while the second case was reported in Hojai.

Reportedly, a 13-year-old boy, who lives in Sonapur, was found infected with the new COVID variant omicron.

As per the reports, the family is said to be living in Mumbai for a long time and had recently shifted to the city.
