Harnaaz Sandhu, currently crowned Miss Universe from India, will announce the winner.

AccorSeveral rounds of the competition, including the "National Costume" phase, were held before the final round. Divita Rai, the representative of India for Ms. Universe, transformed herself into a mesmerising "Sone Ki Chidiya" by donning a stunning golden lehenga with wings.

Abhishek Sharma, the creator of the stunning outfit that represented our nation, posted a series of images to Instagram along with a caption explaining the design's inspiration and specifics.

"Divita Rai appears regal. The ethereal depiction of India as the golden bird, a symbol of the wealth of our rich cultural heritage and the spiritual essence of living in harmony with diversity, served as the inspiration for the national costume "He remarked.

"The intense gold metallic hand embellishments are a true example of the finest craftsmanship of our artisans. The lehenga is made from a hand-woven tissue fabric from the Chandheri District of Madhya Pradesh with the drape representing the image of a modern India," a caption read by the designer.

"The wings signify the strength of sustenance and care that India has shown in the difficult times towards the residents of the world and took care of and stood as a support with the notion of 'One World One Family,'" he continued. In its truest form, he added, "the national costume embodies the core of modern India and its approach to progressive thought."

Divita Rai, 25, a Karnataka native, was named Miss Universe India on August 28, 2022, in Mumbai by Harnaaz Sandhu, who was also the outgoing Miss Universe India and Miss Universe 2021. As India's representative, Divita will now participate in the Miss Universe 2022 competition.
