New Delhi: In a bid to help Ukraine who is facing Russian attack, the Tesla CEO, Elon Musk has announced to provide Internet service there.

After the request of Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, Musk immediately started providing Internet from space to Ukraine and with this Musk's company SpaceX's Starlink satellite broadband service got started in Ukraine.

Mikhailo Federov requested Elon Musk to provide his Internet service in Ukraine following which Musk responded and activated the Starlink service in the country.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Musk tweeted,'' Starlink service has become active in Ukraine. Now more transmission service will start for Ukraine soon''.

In fact, the Ukrainian leader tweeted to Musk and said that there are constant cyber attacks from Russia and we urgently need your help.

''@elonmusk, while you try to colonize Mars — Russia try to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets successfully land from space — Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civil people! We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations and to address sane Russians to stand,'' he tweeted.

Notably, since Russia started attacking Ukraine on Thursday, many Internet-related glitches have come to the fore here.

Musk is providing Internet service in low Earth orbit through his Starlink program, which SpaceX has been building for the past several years. So far, more than 2000 satellites have been launched by Elon Musk into space. Through this, high speed internet will be provided all over the world.

According to reports, Musk plans to launch more than 40,000 satellites into space in the coming years. Being in low Earth orbit, fast internet can be provided easily with the help of these satellites.
