Queen Elizabeth II Donates To Ukraine's Fundraising Appeal To Help Civilians

LONDON: Amid the military attacks by the Russian troops in Ukraine, Queen Elizabeth II in a recent act of generosity made donations to help the victims in the war-torn country.

According to reports, the queen donated to the DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) Ukraine Humanitarian appeal to assists the citizens affected by the Russian military attacks.

The 95-year-old queen from the United Kingdom has extended help at the time when the country needed it most and when it is facing different issues following missile attacks by Russian troops.

The news came into focus through the Twitter account of the DEC organization which shared an update on Thursday 3rd March.

The DEC which is a team of 15 UK charities expressed gratitude to the monarch by writing in a Twitter post which reads 'many thanks to Her Majesty The Queen for supporting Ukraine's war victims and donating to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian appeal.'

Before this support by the great queen, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Charles and Camilla had a meeting discussion with the Ukrainian in London that turned emotional.

The conflict between the two countries became worst after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced military attacks in Ukraine on 24 February 2022.

The President further warned other countries across the world that if they try to interfere in the Russian attacks on Ukraine this would lead to serious consequences.

It is now more than a week that Russia has been attacking Ukraine with numerous bombings in different parts of the country. The situation turned out serious leading to the death of many civilians and huge destruction throughout.

In a recent update, on Thursday late nights the largest power plant of Europe located in Ukraine has been set on fire as the Russian troops began shelling in its nearby areas.
