NEW DELHI: One of the much liked and variedly used social media app Snapchat last night on Wednesday 13 October faces outage all over the world.
The app faces server down issues as many Snapchat users as per reports failed to post their updates or upload any story and they were also unable to send and receive messages. An application that often proves to be much helpful in detecting, checking and tracking out outages reported the issues of app server down with Snapchat.
41% of the users have been in disturbance and facing inconvenience with the app and 27% of those users affected were facing other major problems as they were unable to share any videos or photos. The users facing difficulties in using the app also make use of their Twitter handles to complain about the issue and wanted to know whether they are the only ones in trouble with the app or others facing the same problems. A parent company of Snapchat known as Snap tweeted that they are aware of the problems snap chatters are facing and they are in enquiry to find out the cause of trouble and fix it as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, some of the social media users also tweeted through Twitter that not just Snapchat but other social media apps like Facebook, Instagram and even WhatsApp are suffering server down issues. The serious problems with apps are faced globally including India as many users from India also reported about the outage of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp because they failed to send and receive any messages using the apps. The issues were occurring through various platforms including the iOS platform and Android which displayed a message of "couldn't refresh feed" on the screen.
On Tuesday, 12 October according to reports in various parts of India, Gmail which is a part of the free email service provided by Google was down as many users lost access to send and receive their emails. In the month of September this year, the whole family associated with the apps of Facebook faced huge outages as the apps were down for many hours resulted in issues affecting millions of users.
