WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus self-quarantines himself

Geneva: World Health Organisation Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus self-isolated himself after he was identified as a contact of someone who tested positive for the virus. Although the WHO Chief is self-quarantining, he stressed that he is feeling well, and has no symptoms.

He took to Twitter to announce about his self-quarantining. He wrote:

"I have been identified as a contact of someone who has tested positive for #COVID19. I am well and without symptoms but will self-quarantine over the coming days, in line with @WHO protocols, and work from home."

WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus also reiterated that all of us should comply with the health guidelines, in order to break the chains of COVID-19.

"It is critically important that we all comply with health guidance. This is how we will break chains of #COVID19 transmission, suppress the virus, and protect health systems."
