Graduate in Life Science, Social Work, Sociology, Mass Communication, Anthropology, Cultural Studies, Education, Psychology, Commerce, BBA, Developmental Studies and/or related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
Understanding of, and experience in, operationalization of community-based projects specially mobilizing/sensitizing indigenous communities. Person working in community-based project will be given preferences. Knowledge of environmental issues especially Human elephant conflict.
Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and an ability to develop new processes and approaches. Basic knowledge/hands on expertise on Google Earth or other GIS tools. Ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders including non-governmental organisations, academic, government stakeholders and individuals with various levels of skill. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Assamese. Report writing skills.
Experience of living and working in rural areas. Ability to work independently but also an excellent team player. Ability to organise public meeting events. Ability to drive motorcycles or four wheels.
