About APSC - The Assam Public Service Commission is a state recruitment agency for recruitment of Group 'A' officers and Group 'B' officers for the Government of Assam and all state government establishments under Government of Assam which also includes state public sector units and state autonomous bodies. It is headquartered at Jawahar Nagar, Khanapara in Guwahati and functions through its own secretariat. It was established on 1 April 1937. As of February 2021, Shri Rajiv Kumar Bora, IAS is its current Chairman.

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) Recruitment Notification 2022

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has recently sought a job notification for the recruitment of Principal Vacancy. Desirous candidates can check all the job details of no of posts, age limit, salary, qualification, etc prescribed below:

Educational Qualification:

(i) Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from a recognized University.

(ii) Ph.D Degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline(s) in the institutions concerned with evidence of published work and research guidance.

(iii) Associate Professor/Professor with a total experience of 15 years of teaching/research/administration in Universities/Colleges and other institutions of Higher Education.

(iv) Minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal in Appendix-III for direct recruitment of Professors in Colleges.

(v) Relaxation of 5% will be applicable at the Graduate and Master's degree level for the candidates belonging SC/ST/Differently abled categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing academic record. The eligibility marks of 55% marks or equivalent (in a point scale wherever grading system as followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedure.

(vi) Minimum 10 research publication in peer reviewed or UGC listed journal

Documents Required:

1. No Objection Certificate from component authority.

2. Original treasury Challan depositing prescribed application fee as per terms of advertisement containing details of post applied for.

3. Age proof certificate (HSLC/Class X Board Admit Card/Pass Certificate).

4. Certificates & mark sheets of all examinations from HSLC onwards up to the level of qualifying examination.

5. Caste certificate (wherever necessary) of reserved categories issued by appropriate authority.

6. Two copies of recent passport size photograph with white background.

7. Signature.

8. Experience certificates indicating the period of Service/Experience with dates. 

Selection Process for APSC Recruitment 2022

1. The selection procedure will be notified later on followed by issuing corrigendum / addendum, if required.

2. The list of candidates whose applications are found valid or rejected after scrutiny will be made available in the Assam Public Service Commission's website (www.apsc.nic.in) showing grounds of rejection in due course.

How to Apply APSC Recruitment 2022 

The candidates intend to apply now for the said post should submit their application on or before 30.06.2022. Those who applied earlier need not apply. Application Form will be obtained by downloading from the APSC's website www.apsc.nic.in 'Application form for the post of Principal'. Other ternms and conditions will remain the same as mentioned in the APSC Advt. 09/2021 dtd 03/11/2021.
