Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the research project entitled "Petrology, microstructures, geochemistry, rock strength measurement and crustal stresses within basement granitoids underlying the Deccan Basalt in and around the Koyna-warna area" sponsored by the Ministry of Earth sciences (MoES), Seismology Division, Government of lndia' The project involves study of drill-core samples from seismically active Koyna-Warna area and will be conducted in collaboration with Borehole Geophysics Research laboratory (BGRL)-MoES, Karad and llT Kharagpur.

Salary: Rs. 31,000/- Per Month
Qualification: - M.sc. in Geology/Applied Geology/Geological sciences/Earth sciences with at least 60% marks. Considering the current pandemic situation, students appearing in M.Sc. final semester examination (in Geology/Applied Geology/Geological sciences/Earth Sciences) will also be considered eligible. candidates with NET or valid GATE score will be given preference.
