3. (ii) Essential Qualification: Matriculation from a recognised Board. Possession of a valid driving license for motor Experience Of driving a motor car for three years or more. Desirable: Knowledge of motor mechanism (the candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles)

Age: (i) Age Limit: Not below 18 years or exceeding 27 years. Concession as applicable to Ex- servicemen as prescribed by Govt. of India shall be allowed i.e. period of service not less than 6 months in armed forces shall be allowed to be deducted from the actual age, and the resultant age should not exceed the prescribed maximum age by more than 3 years.

Application Fee:

1. For General/EWS Candidate : Rs.250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty) only.

2. For SC/ST/OBC/MOBC : Rs.150/- (Rupees one hundred and fifty) only.

3. For BPL Candidate : Nil (Candidate having BPL certificate should produce their photocopy of certificate along with the Application Form).

4. As per Govt. Notification No. ABP 144/95/121 dated Dispur the 28th October, 2015 for persons with disabilities (PWD) candidates, the Application Fees for all posts under the State Govt. of Assam is Nil. PWD candidates.

Important Instructions:

Mere fulfilling of minimum qualification and experience requirement shall not vest any right in the candidate for being called for written examination. All the applications received within due date in response to this advertisement shall be considered for shortlisting by a screening committee and only the candidates recommended by the screening committee will be called for appearing in the written examination. The decision of this office will be final and this office will not entertain any correspondence in this regard. Venue of written examination: The examination shall be conducted at Rain Forest Research Institute, Jorhat. Forest Research Centre for Bamboo & Rattan, Aizawl and Forest Research Centre for Livelihood Extension. Agartala. Application Fee: Non-refundable amount of Rs. 300.00 (Rupees Three Hundred only) is to be deposited to this otiice savings Bank Account No. (IFSC Code: UBINOS39317) with Union Bank of India, Jorhat Branch in favour of Director, Rain Forest Research Institute. Jorhat and proof of payment/deposit of application tee is to be attached with the application form. Persons with disabilities (PWD) and female candidates are exempted fro payment of fees, Relaxation in tees is not applicable to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved posts, Age Limit: The crucial date for determining the minimum and maximum age in each case will be the closing receint of application from the candidates in India (other than Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands). Selection Procedure :

1. Store Keeper - The selection will be based on written examination. There will be an objective type of question paper comprising of 100 MCQ in total. Syllabus: General English. Numerical Aptitude. Mental Ability & Reasoning and General Awareness.

2. Forest Guard - The selection will be based on written examination. There will be an objective type of question paper comprising of 100 MCQ in total. Svllabus: General English. Numerical Aptitude. Mental Ability & Reasoning and General Awareness. The post is reserved for ex-servicemen and they have to apply in the form prescribed for the purpose (Appendix- l). The serving defence personnel completing the prescribed period of service within a year from the last date tor receiving applications. may attach the prescribed certificate also (Appendix-2). Both the categories arc also required to submit an undertaking (Appendix-3).

3. Technician (Maintenance) Electrician - There will be an objective type question paper comprising of 100 MCQ Of the 10th standard level. Sv"abus General English (20 marks). Mental Ability & Reasoning (20 marks), General English (20 marks). Arithmetic (20 marks) and Basic Science (20 marks) After qualifying in the written examination, shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a Trade Test. in the select grade.

4. Technician (Maintenance) Plumber - There will be an objective type question paper comprising of 100 MCQ of the 10th standard level. Syllabus General English (20 marks), Mental Ability & Reasoning (20 marks), General English (20 marks), Arithmetic (20 marks) and Basic Science (20 marks) After qualifying in the written examination, shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a Trade Test. in the select grade.

5. Driver (Ordinary Grade) - The selection will be based on written examination. There will be an objective type of question paper comprising of 100 MCQ in total. Syllabuy General English. Numerical Aptitude. Mental Ability & Reasoning and General Awareness. The post is reserved for ex-servicemen.
