According to Vaastu money can be got through the following three directions:-
The North: - The North is the abode of Lord Kubera and Goddess Mahalakshmi. It is essentially the place of wealth accumulation. Secondly, the Southeast (Agni kon) is also very important as it facilitates liquidity (cash reserves). There are people who do not have adequate cash despite having plenty of fixed assets. The third zone that denotes money is the Northeast (Ishan kon) which brings prosperity, wealth and overall growth.
North: This direction is ruled by Mercury that is denoted by the colour green. Therefore if green is used in the North zone (of a house or office) it increases the flow of money. The green element can be introduced through painting, wall colour and wallpaper. One can also place a money plant or water fountain in the North zone. This should be white and not too big in size. A mirror can also be used in the North zone as it duplicates the energy; which in turn indicates a double flow of money. The Budh or Kuber Yantra is very powerful if kept in the North. Further the Kalash therapy is very useful at the North. Keep a Kalash (earthen pot) filled with water and put three coins and cover it. Keep changing the water every 2-3 days.
Southeast: - This direction is ruled by Venus. The Shukra Yantra is very good if placed at the Southeast. This brings money, luxury and prosperity to the house.
The colour red should be used in this direction. One can put a red bulb to activate this zone for increased cash liquidity (especially if the kitchen is not located in the Southeast).
Northeast:- This direction is ruled by Jupiter. Always keep the Northeast direction bright and clean. It is not advisable to clutter or block this direction. One can also use a mirror in this direction to double the energies. Since the Northeast is ruled by Jupiter (Guru), it is advisable to use shades of yellow in this direction. Jupiter or Guru Yantra can also be placed in this zone.
The Owl
The energy of the owl is very magical and transformative. According to Vaastu and ancient Feng Shui, owl is a yang (positive) symbol that is known for supporting good health. The owl is known for its wisdom, ability for protection and dispelling the darkness/ignorance. The owl also symbolizes riches/financial prosperity and is believed to support both personal growth and financial success. The owl is deeply feminine, has moon energy and can connect one's psyche to the night and dawn of new beginnings. Vaastu hence recommends a brass owl. It is believed that keeping a brass owl in your home or office translates to powerful and positive vibes in the fields of knowledge and intelligence.
Placement of the Owl:
According to our ancient scriptures, the owl is the vehicle (Vahana) of Goddess Lakshmi. At home, it (the brass owl) can be displayed in the North-west direction to yield positive results.
The owl statute should always be placed facing the main entrance so that it can protect the family members against harm and evil spirits. The owl is a veritable symbol of protection from evil energy. The owl statue can also be gifted to company executives and scientists to be displayed on their working tables.
It is good for students to have a small statue of an owl on the study table. It is believed to sharpen mental faculties and fetch good luck in the academic sphere. Overall the owl brings positive and powerful vibes in the fields of intelligence and knowledge.
One should place the owl statue in the waiting room or conference room to attract customers and potential buyers. The owl mitigates financial troubles, career and business failures, health issues and challenges pertaining to the inflow of money.
Precaution: One should not keep the statue of the owl in the bathroom, kitchen or bedroom.
The Parrot and Vaastu: Vaastu experts say that it is beneficial to keep parrots at home as they bring good luck. Infact it is one of the Vaastu recommended pets. They also bring good health and promote love between the inmates of a house. Love Birds are also lucky and can be kept at the Northwest, Northeast or East. The parrot should be kept at the North or Northwest.
Parrots can live up to 50 years and more in the wilderness. They are good companions at home. I have infact seen a parrot growing up alongside a child until his marriage!
A photograph of parrots can also be placed in the North direction of a house. Doing this is especially beneficial for the child/children of the house as their interest in studies increases. A picture of parrots also sharpens memory. In short a parrot can contribute towards a child's bright academic future.
Keeping a picture of a green parrot in this particular direction also helps in terminating the defects of the place. The North direction is the most beloved direction of Planet Mercury. The position of Mercury in the horoscope is responsible for our speech, behaviour, personality and intelligence. If the planet Mercury is not strong, then there is invariably a fault in the North direction also.
A Vaastu Tip: Parrots are considered to be a symbol of love, loyalty, longevity and good luck. Even in Chinese civilization, parrots are considered to be symbols/harbingers of auspicious messages and divinity. If one has any kind of ill-will towards his/her spouse or is experiencing any kind of estrangement or bitterness, it is advisable to put a picture of two green parrots in the bedroom to strengthen the relationship. This picture can cheer people up especially the ones who are emotionally upset.
The parrot is also auspicious for businesspeople. One should ideally keep a picture of a green parrot at the North to keep this direction free from vaastu related problems in the business establishment.
