Orange National Park also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park is located partly in districts of Sonitpur and Darrang of Assam, India. Its area spreads over 79.28 square kilometres of land situated along with the northern banks of the mighty River Brahmaputra. The Orang National Park is the shelter of various species of fauna like the Bengal Tiger, Water Buffaloes, Asiatic elephant, Civets, hog deer and great Indian Rhinoceros, Leopards, Porcupines and others. Additionally, it is also a place of 220 bird species of the region like woodpeckers, white pelicans and kingfishers.

The Orang National park contributes with a better population of fishes of about fifty varieties along with the presence of Gangetic Dolphins. Visitors often spot varieties of snakes in the place like Cobras and Pythons and it is also a place of around seven different species of reptiles like tortoise and turtle and their species.

Orang National Park was formed as a wildlife sanctuary in the year 1985 covering 78.8 square km and was finally announced as a National Park on April 13, 1999. As per the grasslands, wetlands, streamlets, the landscape of the park is regarded like the landscape of the famous Kaziranga National Park. Just like the Kaziranga National Park, the Orang National Park is also known for the conservation of one-horned Rhinos making it a remarkable place to visit.
