According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the meteor shower has already started and it will be at its highest peak tonight after 12:00 am. The Quadrantids meteor showers this year will peak on Tuesday 4 January.
According to research by astronomers, the Quadrantids are expected to peak in most of the regions after midnight of 4 January and will be continued till morning.
To watch the shower, observers across the world must remain active and keep their eye over the sky to witness the mesmerizing view of Quadrantids meteor showers tonight.
Astronomers recommended that skywatchers must watch the sky event from locations that are away from light pollution so that they can get a better view and appreciate the shower experience. The astronomical event is capable of providing a sparkling experience today to skywatchers across the world.
In India, the night phenomenon will begin after 1:30 am on 4 January and it will be continued till next morning 07:30 am on 5 January. The best time for a meteor shower is provided as 02:00 am tomorrow which will be visible from across the country but the phenomenon doesn't always occur at the scheduled time it may change.
According to NASA, the meteors in the Quadrantids shower are the remains of the asteroids 2003 EH1. The Quadrantids is one of the brightest meteor showers is seen every year by the end of the year and the beginning of the new year mainly between 28 December to 12 January. It is said that Quadrantids were found in the year 2003 when astronomers saw dust grains that were left behind 2003 EH1.
