New Delhi: The much-anticipated bike named Scram 411 has hit the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 2.03 lakh (ex-showroom).
As per the Royal Enfield, the motocycle is an ADV crossover which combines Adventure bikes and scrambles offering fun of both the worlds. Interestingly, the Scram 411 shares a lot of similarities with the Himalayan in terms of engine and platform.
Specifications reach variant is priced at Rs 2.08 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The new motorcycle scram 411 will be offered in multiple colour combinations of White, Red, Grey and Yellow, Grey and Red as well as a black and Red. The bike continues to sport a retro theme, as evident with its round headlamp and rear-view mirrors.
This is the first product launch of Royal Enfield in 2022. The last major launch from the company was the updated Classic 350 which was launched in September last year. The longer windscreen, tank braces and lack of luggage carrier can differentiate it from the Himalayan.
The bike has halogen headlamps, a new single-piece seat, slightly modified exhaust, 19-inch front wheel (21-inch in Himalayan) and 17-inch rear wheel shod, single-piece grab rail, turn signals, new sides..
It uses a 411 cc single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC fuel-injected engine similar to the Himalayan. With the same power and torque output, the Royal Enfield Scram 411 produces 24.3 Bhp of power at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque at 4,500 rpm. The power train is mated to a five-speed transmission.
The Scram 411 measures 2,160 mm in length, 840 mm in width and 1,165 mm in length with a wheelbase of 1,455 mm and a seat height of 795 mm. Ground clearance is rated at 200 mm, while the curb weight is 185 kg and the fuel tank can hold 15 liters.
Based on a half-duplex split cradle frame, it is offered with 41 mm telescopic front forks (190 mm wheel travel) and a monoshock (180 mm wheel travel) with linkage at the rear. On the other hand, braking duty is handled by a 300 mm disc at the front with a two-piston floating calliper and a 240 mm rear disc with a dual-channel ABS system assist single-piston floating calliper.
The Royal Enfield Scram 411 will compete with the Honda CB350 RS, Yezdi Scrambler and Jawa 42 2.1.
