NEW DELHI: According to the Forbes Real-Time Billionaire index, India's leading businessman and chairperson of the Adani Group, Gautam Adani has now become the richest man in Asia.
Gautam Adani has replaced Mukesh Ambani, the chairperson of the largest shareholder company, Reliance Industries.
As per the details in the year 2021, Gautam Adani has added 55 billion dollars in his income while Mukesh Ambani added 14.3 billion dollars to his fortune.
At present, the net worth of Adani is reported as 90.4 million dollars and the current net balance of Ambani is 89.8 billion dollars.
In the competition of becoming the richest in the continent, Adani defeated Ambani because of the big decline in the shares of Reliance Industries and also for the reason that shares in the publicly traded groups have increased.
In the last 20 months, the net worth of Adani has roused over 180 per cent leading to 83.89 billion dollars on the other hand the net worth of Ambani during the same period has increased by 250% which makes 54.7 billion dollars.
Former richest man Ambani suffered a backdrop in his net worth after the cancellation of the O2C deal with Saudi Aramco which resulted in the downfall of his stock in the market.
At the same time, the Adani companies such as Adani Ports & SEZ Corporation and the Adani Power shares have seen a great rise in profits.

However, the complete market valuation of all the Adani Group firms is fixed at Rupees 10 trillion in comparison to the Rupees 14.91 trillion for Reliance Industries of Ambani.
