New SBI Branch, SME Ulubari inaugurated by Samir Sinha

GUWAHATI: A new SBI Branch, SME Ulubari was inaugurated by Samir Sinha, Principal Secretary, Finance & Health, Government of Assam at Ulubari. Located near Assam Police Head Quarter, the branch has been opened with an aim to provide specialized services to MSME. This is the 5th such branch in Guwahati Metro area after SME GS Road, SME Paltan Bazar, SME AT Road, and SME Fancy Bazar.

In his speech, Sinha mentioned that SME is the growth engine of development of economy in the country. Government of India also offering lots of scheme under SME to support the business community. He lauded SBI's initiative of opening specific SME branches in the city. The opening ceremony was graced by Suranjana Dutta, General Manager(NW-I), and L S Madan, DGM (B&O), Guwahati.

In her speech, Dutta told the gathering that the branch will offer personalized services to the business community through group of specialist staff. They will also create awareness of financial discipline required for sanction of a SME loans. The new branch conveniently located off GS Road is expected to cater to the business community and new entrepreneurs and play a greater role in expanding the economy of the state, stated a press release.
