Boost rural economy

India is a country where one can find many villages. Due to unavailability of basic needs and unemployment, most of the people prefer to move into the metro cities for work. The lockdown imposed after the COVID crisis led to migrant workers going back to their villages. In our country, the village economy is mostly based on agriculture works. The returned migrants are not in touch with the farming activities and they don't know the current trend in farming sector. Currently, farmers are facing many challenges. Sometimes, they even don't get their actual price by selling fruits, vegetables and other agricultural products which they produce.

But the knowledge that the migrants got during their stay in urban areas can help them in adopting new techniques in the farming sector. All that they have to do is to keep their cool and apply their acquired knowledge at appropriate place. The government's welfare schemes may help them in starting their new life in rural India. Then there will be a big scope in pushing rural economy up, if the people and the government take it seriously and plan further to boost the rural economy. I think it will be helpful for creating new jobs, fulfilling the needs of villagers and empowering them. It will be a new India, 'self-reliant India' .
