In the wake of the prevailing pandemic situation caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in every corner of the country when every positive result brings panic to all sections of people, every rise in number of cases of infected people hurdles the freedom of life. The recent announcement of CBSE board examinations results brings smiles to many faces between this anguish and fear.

At a time when education in government institutions is looked at with skepticism, the Government of Assam's baby product Model Schools have shown remarkable achievement in the recently announced CBSE Board Class X exam. In a sharp contrast to the real picture of government schools, nine model schools have brought glory to the state by attaining 100% success rate. As per reliable sources, a total of 551 students from 14 different model schools appeared for the board exam. Out of them, 528 students have cleared the exam carrying pass percentage to 95.83% which is 15% better than that of passing percentage of Delhi government schools. It is worth mentioning here that these schools have been facing crisis of required teachers due to non-regularization of their posts and they are trying their luck in other government sector jobs. It is pertinent to mention here that overcoming other challenges these model hools have extracted the elixir from the students solely depending on the sagacious guidance of the principals as well as perseverance and persistent efforts of the teachers. Conscious guardians believe that if the government pays more attention to the problems of these teachers, model hools are sure to bloom in days ahead.
