Don't set aside other diseases

Microbes are called friend and foe. When we purchase curd from the hotels, we never think that without the contribution of bacteria this testy curd is not possible. Now, the same bacteria or viruses become enemy for us. And we all pray to God to save us from those microbes (bacteria and virus).

Now the government machinery is fully concentrated on corona pandemic, we all set aside the death rate of other diseases like Japanese Encephalitis, Acute Encephalitis Syndrome and many more. At the same time, we came to know from your esteemed daily that 23 people lost their lives due to JE and AES in Assam. And 136 persons are suffering from AES which is an alarming signal for the people of Assam. This is my humble submission before the government of Assam, please don't set aside the other diseases and also give utmost priority on them. Still we are happy what you have shown in case of COVID patients, and we are expecting the same in other patients also. Start the vaccination scheme and other precautionary measures as soon as possible so as to get rid of other diseases which are caused by microbes.
