Food security for visually impaired

The Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ramvilas Paswan has directed States to cover visually impaired people as beneficiaries under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and ensure a supply of 35 kg monthly subsidized food grains per family. It seems to be a good initiative and will help visually impaired persons with their families. We should also assist to empower them by providing equal opportunities at all levels.
