Increase plasma donation

The Goa Government has announced incentives for plasma donors and their families. It includes free medical treatment at top government hospitals and free executive check up. The State government also launched a publicity campaign to create sensitivity about the importance of plasma donation by cured COVID-19 patients. This good move truly deserves applause and motivates other State governments to increase plasma donations and fight against this global pandemic strongly.

Twitter accounts hacking

Stealing sensitive personal data and hacking social media accounts and websites through phishing text messages and mails are becoming quite common nowadays. A little mistake in handling online sources and social media accounts can result in a cyber-attack and leakage of sensitive personal data of the user. Very recently, the Twitter account of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's personal website was hacked. Through the hacked account, the hackers posted tweets asking for donations in cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) for COVID-19 relief. This incident was quite surprising, because similar episode happened in mid-July in which Twitter accounts of major public figures including US presidential candidate Joe Biden, former US President Barack Obama, billionaire Elon Musk, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Apple and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos were hacked and in a very short span of time, the hackers gathered several thousands of dollars through Bitcoin by spreading fake monetary scheme through the hacked Twitter accounts. This kind of hacking of Twitter accounts is raising questions on the security concerns of Twitter's internal system. Despite being a social media giant if this level of hacking can be done in its user's accounts then definitely there are some loopholes within its security system which have to be rectified soon.
