Human behaviour
Surprisingly after globalization, it is noticeable that human behaviour has come to a radical change. The racial and family influences along with education and moral sense of duty play a pivotal role in shaping one's character and behaviour. Now in the third decade of the 21st-century human behaviour is a thing to be researched as people speak one way and think the other way or act another way. Today most of the people's words are full of guile and they think only of their benefits. The devil idea of selfishness and oppression has engulfed their minds and it is now almost impossible to come out from this hell. This happens because of a lack of a true sense of education and reformation in the family. So, to make a good and healthy society a subject like behavioural science should be introduced from the school level. It is a matter of fact that if the behaviour of the people in society reaches a good level then the chaos and mob-lynching like incidents will automatically disappear from society. Respect, regards, acceptance, feeling of unity, cooperation and brotherhood, a feeling of love and tolerance are some of the ingredients of good behaviour. One should remember that where hatred survives, good behaviour nips in the bud.

Good for nothing trio
Right now, India is cursed with the presence of three good for nothing sons holding important offices in their respective political parties. Creating unnecessary controversies seems to be their only hobby as evidenced by their baseless allegations levelled against other political parties. The trio is Rahul Gandhi, son of ex-PM Late Rajiv Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, son of Mulayam Singh Yadav (the worst disciple of Late Ram Manohar Lohia), a third one is Tejaswi Yadav, son of Lau Yadav. Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav is the one who advised his followers not to get vaccinated as it may induce infertility. He branded the anti-corona vaccine as the BJP vaccine. Congress' Rahul Gandhi called duly elected PM as 'chor' and later on faced public wrath. The last one played the communal and appeasement politics only to be rejected by the voters. The trio should be remembered as Badan, Mirzaffar and Judas in future.

Lovelina Borgohain
It is great news for us that Lovelina Borgohain becomes the first woman boxer from Assam to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. This Golaghat-based boxing prodigy makes us proud of her extraordinary performance in the boxing arena. Born in 1997 in a small village of Barpather, Golaghat, she won two bronze medals in the World Championship. She had recently won bronze at the Asian Boxing Championship held in Dubai. We offer our heartiest congratulations on her success and wish her best wishes for the forthcoming Tokyo Olympics. May she shine and succeed in this great event.

This is football
An unprecedented incident occurred on the field when Danish soccer player Christiano Erickson suffered a cardiac arrest while playing against Finland in the important UEFA Euro Cup 2020 at Rome. When the Danish striker collapsed while trying to intercept a long ball, there was a deafening silence in the stadium. Erickson was taken off the field by the medical team and the Play was suspended for some time. The shell-shocked supporters of the Denmark team were praying almighty for the recovery of Erickson. Suddenly another roar was heard from the other stand of the gallery where fans of the Finland team were also praying in unison for the recovery of Erickson. It was a heart-rending sight and football was the winner.

Scary prediction
State BJP vice president and Nalbari MLA Jayanta Malla Baruah rightly said that by 2037/38 the indigenous people will be the minority in Assam and immigrant Muslims will become the majority. His statement is based on the humongous increase in population percentage among the immigrants from East Bengal and Bangladesh. The indigenous population maintained a falling growth rate which was around 14% in 2001/02 and 11% in 2011/12. Similarly, if we have a look at the growth rate of immigrants it is maintaining consistency at around 29% in the last two decades. Whatever may be the reasons, one thing is certain that this strategy of high birth rate is pre-planned. In 14-16 districts of the State, the indigenous people have lost political and land rights and very soon they are going to lose their religious rights as well. Starting from Sadullah, Prafulla Mahanta, Hiteswar Saikia to Tarun Gogoi, all these former Chief Ministers are responsible for the power they aided these illegal immigrants to settle down on our land and now they are threatening our existence. Re-verification of the NRC in districts like Dhubri, Nagaon, Morigaon, Goalpara, South Salmara, Mankachar, etc has to be done at the earliest. Formulating birth control measures in whatever way possible is another solution.

Please shed light
There seems to be no clarity on the progress of the Guwahati Developed Department (GDD) urban water supply plant in the capital city. It has completed more than 10 years when the ambitious project was inaugurated in the Congress regime under Tarun Gogoi. The all-important project moved at a snail's pace. In 2016 Sarbananda Sonowal came to power and GDD fell in the hands of Siddharth Bhattacharya. No light was shed on the progress although it was heard in a few interviews of the Minister concerned when he said almost 80% of work was completed. The statement of Siddharth Bhattacharjee is very confusing. If 80% of the work is completed then by this time the project should have been running. Now the GDD Department has gone to Ashok Singhal. Portable water scarcity in the city is haunting the residents for years and still, the citizens have not seen the light at the other end. I shall like to request you to kindly do in-depth reporting of the present scenario of the JAL Board and its progress by your on-field reporter.
