Politics is a strange platform. Here I want to quote senior journalist Ajit Bhuyan. The said person before jumping into political field was seen and heard talking loud about the lack of ideology amongst the politicians. Recently, in an interview Ajit Bhuyan, now as an Upper House MP was very critical of youth sensation Zubin Garg. The newly elected (rather selected) MP slammed Zubin Garg by saying that the renowned singer doesn't have any ideology. The ex-journalist was miffed as Zubin Garg has come out to be brand ambassador of the Agricultural sector of the State. Immediately, certain questions came into my mind. Does Ajit Bhuyan have any ideology? The person who bats for regionalism got elected to the Rajya Sabha with the support of the Congress and the AIUDF. That infamous photo where Ajit Bhuyan was climbing the staircases of the Election Commission office holding the hands of Maulana Badruddin Ajmal and Tarun Gogoi is still in the minds of the people. A staunch campaigner of anti-CAA agitation finally made his personal ambition fulfilled by being elected to the Rajya Sabha caring little for those who thronged the streets of Assam at his provocation. Now such selfish leader is questioning Zubin Garg. A reminder for people like Ajit Bhuyan that those who live in glass houses shouldn't pelt stones at others'. It is sad that such breeds of people talk and project themselves as hard-core jatiyotabadi (regionalists) ultimately feed on the oxygen provided by the Congress and the AIUDF to fulfill their personal agenda.
