Mumbai: Bollywood Actor Akshay Kumar has filed a defamation suit against Youtuber Rashid Siddiquee, seeking Rs 500 crore for making "false and baseless allegations" against the actor by naming him in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR)

Siddiquee alleged in his YouTube videos that Akshay Kumar helped the main accused of SSR death case Rhea Chakroborty abscond to Canada and engaged in secret discussions with Aaditya Thackeray, Maharashtra minister, about Singh's death.

The YouTuber is already booked by the Mumbai police for another defamation case to remove objectionable videos from his channel, FF News.

In the notice, it is specified that because of Siddiquee's scandalous, defamatory and derogatory videos, Akshay Kumar had suffered from mental trauma, agony and huge loss, including the loss of reputation and goodwill which quantifies at Rs 500 crore.

The videos he has made regarding the case of Singh's death is false, baseless, defamatory and is intentionally published to mislead the public, says the notice against him.

Siddiquee had earned a whopping amount of Rs 15 lakh in four months for his content on Sushant Singh Rajput's death as compared to what he used to earn before i.e Rs 296 from his videos.

Siddiquee, who hails from Bihar, is a civil engineer by profession and makes YouTube videos as a side hustle.
