Shahid is presently engaged on the Hindi remake of Telugu cult blockbuster Arjun Reddy. The movie is being directed by Sandeep Vanga and features Kiara Advani as the female lead.

Arjun Reddy tells the story of a successful medical professional who becomes a drug addict and drunk when suffering a heartbreak. The first asterisked Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role, a performance that was well received by the critics as well as the audience. The remake is all set to release on June 21, 2019.

Recently, the 37-year-old actor took to his social media and unveiled the title of his upcoming film. The Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy will go by the name of Kabir Singh.
