Guwahati: A serious scene from popular Bengali television serial 'Krishnakoli' reportedly became the fodder for trolls after the audience found an 'uncanny resemblance' between the automated external defibrillator shown in the scene and a scrubber pad.

The scene from the soap opera instantly went viral, prompting reactions from Twitter and giving inspiration to meme creators of all hues.

During the scene in question, the doctor is using a bathroom scrubber to restore the consciousness of the patient who has gone into a coma, thereby pushing the "suspension of disbelief" mantra to the max!

Surprisingly, this went on in 'Krishnakali' for two consecutive weeks! Some have also raised the question of where the standard of Bengali serials has gone. The scene of the serial has caused a storm on social media.

Reacting to goof-up, producer Sushant Das said, "it is an unintended mistake. It is not possible to arrange all the necessary articles for the scene, we use props and try to give it a realistic look. Had we painted it none would have realized what it is. We generally do it, but this time we missed it, it slipped our eyes. It was never deliberate and we respect our viewers who made the show successful."

After watching the scene, social media users took a screenshot of that portion and shared it on Twitter. From Twitter, it was shared to Facebook, where users had a gala time poking fun at the makers for this mistake.
