MUMBAI: Actor-dancer Nora Fatehi on Thursday said she has tested positive for COVID-19 and is under quarantine.
According to the actor's publicist, Nora tested positive for COVID-19 and is being confined in isolation.
The statement reads, "On behalf of Nora Fatehi, as her spokeswoman, would like to report that Nora Fatehi has tested positive for Covid on the 28th of December." Since then, Nora has been confined under the doctor's care, adhering to the procedures, and working with BMC on security and regulations."
Earlier this month, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora, both actresses, tested positive for Covid 19. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, Mumbai's local administration, has requested RT-PCR testing for anyone who has come into touch with the patients. The duo, who are close friends, have been seen together multiple times lately. They were last seen in Mumbai at Anil Kapoor's daughter Rhea Kapoor's wedding reception. Punjabi artist AP Dhillon, one of the event's organisers, has been criminally charged. Thousands of individuals were observed partying without masks or social distance during the Canadian singer's live act, according to the report.
Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan were among the guests at the event. Kareena went to Karan Johar's house for a reunion party lately. Guests included Malaika Arora, Alia Bhatt, Karisma, Amrita Singh, and Arjun Kapoor. Everyone was present to celebrate the 20th anniversary of 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.' Kareena is presently under home quarantine, as per Vinayak Vispute, assistant commissioner of the H/West (Bandra West) ward. It's unclear whether Amrita is also quarantined at home. Kareena will next be seen in the Aamir Khan-starrer 'Laal Singh Chaddha.' The film is a remake of "The Forrest Gump," a Tom Hanks-led Hollywood picture. Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor star in the film 'Takht.'
Meanwhile, according to figures from the Union Health Ministry, the number of coronavirus cases in India grew to 3,46,97,860 on Monday, with 7,350 persons testing positive for the sickness in a single day, while the number of active cases decreased to 91,456, the lowest in 561 days. The daily rise in new coronavirus infections has been below 15,000 for the previous 46 days. According to the Ministry of Health, the number of active cases has dropped to 91,456, accounting for 0.26 per cent of all infections, the lowest level since March 2020, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has risen to 98.37 per cent, the highest level since March 2020.
