Bollywood actress Rekha, the timeless beauty turns 68

India's most enigmatic female star, Rekha turns 68. In an interview, when the actress was complimented saying how she looks 20 years younger, she joked 'How would you know? You haven't seen me for years.' Rekha is undoubtedly one of the most talked about actresses of all times whose life has been full ups and downs. But despite all of it, she continues to radiate a charm which no other female star in India possesses, certainly not someone past her prime.

Rekha once admitted that she is afraid of being hurt again. 'It(the hurt) has happened over and over again. I've lost count. I don't allow it to affect me too deeply. Haan, dard toh zaroor hota hai. But I don't allow the wound to become a scar.' To those whom she loves, Rekha is a very warm and generous woman. Those who don't know her, label her as enigmatic, eccentric & troublesome. Rekha is known to be extremely friendly with younger actresses, most of whom genuinely idolise her. Her current favourite is Alia Bhatt.

Notably, Rekha gifted Alia a fragrant basket of her favourite mogra flowers at the premier of 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' earlier this year. The veteran actress who was last seen in a special appearance in 'Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se' has a new-found passion for singing. She loves to sing on phone to her friends. It is also believed that despite all her stormy relationships, Rekha continues to believe in true love, and she loves one man all her life. (Agencies)
