Kapil Sharma's Biopic 'Funkaar' will be directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba who is well-known for his work on the 2013 hit Hindi film Fukrey. The director rose to fame after directing two parts of Fukrey, the second sequel was released in the year 2017.
The biopic 'Funkaar' will be based on the journey of the country's most favourite comedian and actor Kapil Sharma. It will show his struggle from the initial part of his life when he was in Amritsar of Punjab and the paths that led him to gain immense fame in his career.
Well-known television personality Kapil Sharma has made a notable change in his life within a very short period of time as from being not known at all he turned into the most known comedian. At present, he is counted as the most successful television actor who is paid the highest among others.
The director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba wrote a statement where he expressed his excitement of presenting the story of India's most known 'Funkaar' i.e. Kapil Sharma to the audience.
The film will be produced by Mahaveer Jain in collaboration with Lyca productions.
On discussing the biopic Mahaveer Jain stated that the makers feel proud to introduce the life and journey of Kapil Sharma on the big screen in a grand style. He said that love, laughter and life is a regular need for all and the film will be depicting all these instances in Kapil's life.
Kapil Sharma, 40, was born on 2 April 1981 in Amritsar and was earlier known by the name of Kapil Punj. He is widely recognized as an Indian Standup comedian but also had enough contribution as a television presenter, producer, actor and host.
He started his television debut with Sony's Family Time with Kapil and then hosted the comedy show Comedy Nights with Kapil that make him earn an enormous name and fame. He then started The Kapil Sharma Show.
Kapil got married to Ginni Chatrath in the year 2018 and the couple had two children- son Trishan Sharma and daughter Anayra Sharma.
