MS Dhoni Unveils First Look From His Debut Web Series 'Atharva: The Origin'

MUMBAI: The most iconic former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be seen in the lead role of the mythological science fiction web series titled 'Atharva: The Origin.'

The film is the adaption of an unpublished book with the same title written by Ramesh Thamilmani, a debutant author.

The first look of MS Dhoni in the web series is shared by him on the social media account on Wednesday 2 February. Along with the post-Dhoni wrote a caption expressing his happiness of announcing his new avatar i.e. Atharva.

The looks of the former Indian skippers in the new poster of the series are already gaining much attention from people across the country as well as from cricket fans.

In his first glimpse, Dhoni is seen appearing in an animated avatar and involved in the battle with an army of demons. On the battlefield, Dhoni is displayed as fighting with bloodstains in his body and an intense look on his face.

Dhoni made the announcement of his debut series in the year 2020 and also discussed the new-age graphic novel written by Thamilmani.

The story of the series will be based on the journey of a mysterious Aghori and his fight to change the myth. The Aghori as per the unpublished book has been captured at a high technology facility and he unveils secrets. Those secrets shared by Aghori have the possibility to change the myths of existing ancient beliefs.

In sharing the details of the series, the makers have unveiled the first appearance of Dhoni, the poster of the series and a teaser video.

Fans across the country are much excited for the upcoming series as the former international cricket will be seen in OTT for the first time.

The upcoming OTT series is backed by the media company named Dhoni Entertainment. The company was founded in 2019 by Dhoni along with his wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni.
