New Delhi Dipika Chikhlia who played Sita in Ramayan was trolled for making an embarrassing error on social media on the occasion of the 76th Independence Day celebration.

Dipika shared a picture of herself holding a national flag and wished her followers on the occasion but accidentally she invited criticism as she tagged the Pakistan Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

Presently, the tweet has been removed but some social media users have managed to grab a screenshot of the post, and now it's viral.

"Happy Independence Day, PakPMO," she wrote. However, after realizing her mistakes she quickly deleted the tweet, but till that time the post went viral on the Internet.

Reacting to her post, Netizens quickly reacted to her post and one of them said, ''What's wrong with Sita? She is saluting Ravan! Another user wrote, '' Hey Prabhu, Kaha hai aap? Ab to avtaar lena hi hoga.''

Later, Dipika uploaded another video on Instagram, wishing everyone a Happy Independence Day.

In 1987, Deepika Chikhalia was recognized in every household by Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayana'. She was seen playing the role of mother Sita opposite Arun Govil. She was recently seen in Ayushmann Khurrana's 'Bala'.

In May this year, she also faced backlash following some pictures of her wherein she was seen posing with her friends with a drinking glass. As the pictures went viral, she immediately question what she was consuming.

The pictures were clicked during a reunion party on May 22 and later in an interview with Etimes, Deepika opened up about the pictures and said it was a mistake.

During the interview, she also said that she never wanted to hurt her fans as people were aware that people always saw her as Sita, not Deepika.

The actress further asserted that there was a lot to worry about in life and she didn't want to be a reason for unhappiness to fans.
