Shatrughan Sinha, the veteran actor-turned-politician, will age 76 on December 9, 2021. In a career spanning several decades, Sinha has appeared in over 100 Bollywood films.

He had a successful cinematic career. Before joining the Indian National Congress in 2019, Sinha was a member of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.

In Dev Anand's film Prem Pujari, actor Shatrughan Sinha received his debut acting role. He was well-known for his supporting roles in a number of films, but his breakthrough came in the 1976 film Kalicharan, in which he played the major character. He's come a long way since then.

Mere Apne, Kaala Patthar, Naseeb, Dostana, Khudgarz, Vishwanath, and many others are among his significant works. Kalicharan, starring Shatrughan Sinha, was released on February 7, 1976. Kabhi Kabhie, starring Amitabh Bachchan, was released 20 days later. It was Shatrughan's first significant hit as a lead actor, while Amitabh added another hit to his resume.

Prior to Kalicharan, the actor had appeared in a number of films in the early 1970s, many of which starred Big B, such as Parwana and Bombay to Goa. Shatrughan quickly drew attention with his charisma, baritone, and dialogue delivery. The actor's popularity was growing, but it was also causing rifts in his friendship with Amitabh Bachchan.

He was a Union Cabinet Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Shipping.
